Rollomatic Inc., a subsidiary of Rollomatic Holding Switzerland, announced the establishment of a separate laser cutting machine business unit within Rollomatic Inc. Rollomatic is a manufacturer of CNC five-axis laser cutting machines for superhard materials such as polycrystalline diamond, headquartered in Lelandron and Biel, Switzerland. Its North American headquarters is located in Mundlein, Illinois, and has state-of-the-art machine demonstration and customer support facilities. Rollomatic and Strausak also provide CNC tools and knives, peel-off grinders, and laser cutting machines.

The company announced that Will Nash has been promoted to senior application and sales engineer to support the new laser cutting unit.

In other news, Rollomatic also announced two other personnel appointments:

Jeremy David is currently the Group Application Manager for the Rollomatic and Strausak brands in the North American market. Jeremy David is also a member of the group management team.

Kris Zellmann was appointed as the national sales manager of Strausak Inc. in the United States.

Strausak also announced the launch of its new model ONE 5-axis flexible tool and tool grinder. The machine is equipped with the company's Nutroto tool design software for grinding rotating and stationary tools, custom tools, and re-sharpening for small and high-volume production.

Strausak said that the design of this model allows any option to be upgraded and retrofitted at any time during the life of the machine. The company also touted the machine's thermal stability and field tests, which proved the high Cpk process capability. According to the company, this is especially important when grinding short-term custom tools, because accuracy and "good first tool" are essential.
